In the window there is a photo of a black labrador swimming so fast that the water is being pushed in front of him. The caption says "Ben: Proprietor." Well, that's not really true. The shop is really run by Doug and David. We like to pretend that Ben, who is Doug's dog, is the driving force behind this venture in electronic commerce. It makes us laugh to think of a black labrador, the wisest and most handsome of all dogs, sitting in an office and making decisions about what to try selling in his shop and dreaming of setting up a chain of specialist bone shops (more on that later) instead of having to eke out a living scratching around on the internet.
